Join our growing team as a Radiology Nursing Supervisor!

Key Accountabilities
- Supervises two campuses – MidState Medical Center & The Hospital of Central Connecticut
- Assist with hiring/interviewing new nursing staff members
- Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients
- Create, maintain/update nursing onboarding/orientation documents/processes
- Onboard new nurses
- Address staff issues (conduct, attendance issues, etc.)
- Oversee nursing daily and on-call schedule
- Facilitation daily operation and triage of cases to maximize patient throughput
- To act as liaison between providers and radiology team members
- To hold daily huddle with nursing team
- To collaborate with radiology managers and director on department initiatives, Joint Commission and DPH compliance, safety initiatives
- Periodically review regulatory standards, ACR, SIR, and other pertinent guidelines and discuss with manager the need for updating current policies and/or developing new policies using evidence based practice
- Update staff on guidelines and policies as appropriate
- Tasks as delegated by nursing director
- Participates regularly in department meetings and hospital committees (ex: shared governance, infection prevention, etc) or delegates to nursing staff
- Develop of patient education initiatives and quality assurance projects
- Examine and develop patient satisfaction proposals
- Meet with individual campus radiology nurses to discuss operational, staff concerns, and create goals/objectives
- Be able to perform all the duties of Radiology Lead Nurse
Qualification Guidelines
Education Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher
- Current CT RN state license
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification
- Ability to use independent and mature judgment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent physical assessment skills and the ability to start IV’s
- Has a general knowledge of all areas of nursing practice
- Is able to work without direct supervision
- Models leadership skills, high level problem solving, and H3W behaviors Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure
- Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) within 1 year of employment
Desirable:
- 1-2 years of nursing leadership experience
- 5+ year’s critical care nurse/ambulatory care nursing experience
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge applicable to radiological technology with specific references to anatomy, medical and surgical disease, and scientific principles as applied to radiological technology
Compensation
Salary Range: $40.31 to $62.48 Hourly
A $10,000 Sign On Bonus will be offered to eligible candidates. MRA offers competitive compensation, based on qualifications and experience.
